About

Hey creatives, I'm Kat.

I am a married mom of 2 kids, with a giant, anxious dog who I swear is his own version of neuro spicy, a cat & fish. Though I refuse to do anything but admire the fish.

I created Nuanced Art & Interiors out of a love for interior design & frustration with the gap between design & real life. Especially with an ADHD family at home. Let’s add nuance to your home with solutions tailored for neurodivergent parents and families.

My magic is creating tools that work with you, your family & your home to improve your life. And your family’s lives. The result is a home that looks and feels like yours.

I have always loved interior design. For my home to function really well & look good doing it. Then, 8 years ago, when I had my first child it was like hitting a brick wall. Everything felt so hard. Nothing worked in my home anymore. This feeling only got worse as our family grew. It has been a long road trying to understand what the fuck was going on with me & how better to adapt my home to help me function like the adult I am supposed to be. Finally, in 2024 I received an official ADHD diagnoses. This has opened a whole new set of doors into understanding what my family & I need...

Every home has different needs. Systems, chores, family meetings, figuring out maintenance tasks, and what each person needs to feel happy and at home helps inform furniture and decor choices. Because a beautifully decorated home sure as f doesn't stay that way on it’s own & it is too exhausting for one person to try when no other family members are invested. Plus we are missing out on so much our more our homes can offer than just looking good.

I swear a bit. I can be blunt. I will provide ways to tweak solutions for your own family and a framework so you are able to do it without me.

Let’s integrate parenting, routines, structure, coping skills & creativity into your family home. Join me to create a home that looks & feels like yours.
